![]() The Science Students’ Society (S-Cubed), together with ASA and Insite, is organising a debate titled ‘Science vs. Art: Two Cultures or Two Perspectives?’ on Friday 25th February as part of Organisations’ Days 2011. The theme is inspired by a concept initially proposed by C.P. Snow in his famous book: “The Two Cultures”. In this Rede Lecture Snow suggests a growing rift between the Sciences and the Humanities, and explains how he believes that this prolonged the resolution of several issues which characterised the world at the time. Whether or not these fields should be separated, whether there are actual differences in the way people studying these fields think and the differences in the contributions of both fields to society are some of the topics to be debated.
