In recognition of the Society of Biology's Biology Week 2013, S-Cubed is launching its Adopt a Plant Campaign.
We will be around campus on Wednesday taking orders from students who would like to adopt a native plant. These plants will then be planted together on another day in the Green Area near canteen.
The adopted shrubs and tree saplings will have name tags of whoever adopted them, so you can tell which plant you have adopted and watch it grow.
The Mediterranean Garden's Green Area is accessible by all students and is taken care of by the Department of Biology. You can thus visit your adopted plant throughout your stay at university and watch it grow!
Think Green and Adopt a Plant!
If you are not available on Wednesday, you can contact any executive member throughout the week. We will also try to be available during Degree Plus hours.
The Adopt a Plant Campaign will carry on for another week. You can visit our stand again next Friday or else adopt a plant online through our form https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1XLS5I_4ubGYsceOlhnG7n3MVDyl6A5Zlfcj1dmg9Z1E/viewform.
People who adopt a plant are expected to take care of their plant (water it, make sure it's healthy, etc)- the Mediterranean Garden is accessible to all students and your plant will have a name tag on it of whoever adopted it. If you require help in this regard, please inform us.
