Did you ever have problems presenting or communicating science in a simple and clear manner? Do you find it difficult to discuss science with other people from different backgrounds?
This workshop will help you gain presentation skills, allowing you to present your knowledge in a clear and concise manner. You will understand ways to present complex scientific principles in layman terms and in a way that anyone can understand. The first part of this workshop will be given by Faisal Sadegh who will focus on presentational skills. Alexander Hili will continue the workshop with a presentation on how to build a speech. Dr Edward Duca and Dr Sandro Lanfranco will be assessing the participants’ presentations and giving out constructive criticism. This will be done so for the participants to gain an understanding of how they can improve their public speaking skills. This event, will be limited to a number of places. Application forms can be obtained from: http://goo.gl/forms/LBJRu5IoRt Each person will be paired up with someone else and they will be asked to research a topic which will be chosen and given at random.
