WHO IS S-CUBED?The Science Students’ Society, S-Cubed or S3, is an independent, non-political, and non-profit making organisation run by students for students. It comprises of science students and recent science graduates who are interested in academic and personal excellence in addition to their studies at the University of Malta. S-Cubed offers science students a perfect platform to develop their existing skills, acquire new ones, and meet fellow students and scientific professionals.
S-Cubed was established for all students within the Faculty of Science of the University of Malta at the first Annual General Meeting held by the founding committee on the 7th April, 2003. S-Cubed's activities consist of a large variety of academic and professional events that are organised to fulfil the vision of S-Cubed, that of providing its members and students an opportunity to enhance their skills and to interact with each other. Over the past 17 years, S-Cubed has been working to:

S-Cubed is run by a committee of current University students from the Faculty of Science. The Executive Board is re-elected annually by the members of that year. The Board consists of thirteen members, five of whom make up the administration team comprising of a President, Vice-President, Secretary General, Financial Controller and Public Relations Officer. In addition, the Board also entails of an Internal Secretary and seven other officers: two Leisure Officers, Education Officer, Science Communication Officer, Social Policy Officer, International Officer and Environmental Officer. |

Through such a wide variety of activities, S-Cubed aims to produce well-rounded scientists with a practical and international outlook, rather than a purely academic background which is no longer enough to meet the professional and cultural challenges that they will be faced with in the future.

- Academic: achieved by organising the Annual Science Conference, as well as seminars, site visits and workshops.
- Science Communication: educating and promoting science to the general public by organising and being part of events such as Science in the City, CineXjenza and Tiskopri.
- Social Policy: promoting discussion of current issues affecting science students as well the general public.
